Although the Stratford Perth Museum was incorporated as a not-for-profit in 1997, the museum’s collection dates back to the beginning of the 20th century when the Library Act of 1902 permitted local libraries to collect and display museum collections. In 2008, the Stratford Perth Museum Association purchased its present 7 acres on the old Huron Road. The site is complemented by an 1870 Victorian buff brick home, woodlots and trails – a home with room to grow and endless potential to interpret our rich cultural heritage and to deliver indoor and outdoor programming.

This year, Stratford Summer Music will use their outdoor stage located at the back of the Museum.

Avon River at York Street, Stratford, ON

The MusicBarge is our floating stage, docked at the bank of the Avon River. It is home to many free outdoor concerts. Bring your blanket or lawnchair and a picnic lunch!

A mid-century modern building, constructed in the early 1960s. Extensive renovations were completed in 2015-2016. It is now a fully accessible, air-conditioned building with a large parking lot and relaxing grounds. The renovations included improved acoustics, comfortable seating, plentiful washrooms, and an updated Walcker pipe organ specially built for this space.

Revival House has long been the venue for Stratford Summer Music. With it’s Manhatten-style night club feel, this venue is a jazz favourite for our patrons. Dinner reservations are an option pre-performances.
