Education
JAZZ ACADEMY
The Stratford Summer Jazz Academy offers young musicians (25 and under) the chance to develop their jazz skills through workshops, combo sessions, and guided practice with top Canadian jazz educators and musicians. Focused on improvisation, group collaboration, and individual growth, the program helps students enhance their unique musical voice. Participants will build and refine their melodic, harmonic and rhythmic language, learn new technical skills and acquire essential ensemble skills like listening, interaction and balance, culminating in a final performance with the faculty as part of Stratford Summer Music.
VOCAL ACADEMY
Our internationally recognized faculty including Marcus Nance focuses on furthering our participants’ musicianship and technique within a friendly, supportive and creative atmosphere. Ideal applicants will be in or have recently completed a degree/training program with a university or conservatory and be in the early stages of a career.

Stratford Summer Music hosts an annual multi-week summer festival along with year-round programming, showcasing over 100 artists in a variety of events across indoor and outdoor venues throughout Stratford, Ontario. With a commitment to artistic excellence, the festival presents a diverse lineup of local, national, and international talent, offering performances across a wide range of musical genres. Stratford Summer Music aims to deliver world-class music experiences, bringing a level of quality typically found in large urban centres to audiences in our community.
