  • Production Assistant

    Summer Music offers a fast-paced setting where no two days are alike, and the locations
    are constantly changing. Hours are flexible but you must be available to work evenings
    and most weekends during the summer. Working co-operatively with a production team,
    and reporting to the Production Manager, in aspects of the music festival which relate to
    live musical performances, the candidate will assist with all technical elements including
    audio, video, staging, lighting of live performances. Operating as a venue technician the
    candidate will assist with load in, set up, sound check, strike, and load out of equipment.
    Liaising with artists, venue contacts, other festival staff as necessary will be required.
    Assisting with the preparation of venues including lighting, sound, staging, power, seating
    etc. will be required. Participate in weekly staff team meetings. Ensure all events occur
    efficiently and on-time, following health and safety protocols, picking up and returning
    equipment rentals or loans, returning inventory to proper storage.

    Stratford Summer Music Production Assistant

  • Administrative Coordinator

    Summer Music offers a fast-paced setting where no two days are alike, and the locations are constantly changing. Hours are based on 35-hours per week Monday-Friday, with evening and weekend hours as required. You must be available to work evenings and most weekends during the summer 4-week festival. Collaborating closely with the team at Stratford Summer Music and reporting directly to the Executive Director, this role will serve as a central support function, facilitating day-today coordination and operational efficiency. The position requires independent decisionmaking, discretion in managing sensitive information, adept prioritization, and meeting deadlines amidst competing demands. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a professional demeanor, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while being responsible for dayto-day administrative support. This position provides a wide variety of support services all of which contribute to the efficient and professional operation of the organization. Project oriented responsibilities include planning and executing fundraising events, volunteer
    coordination, training of summer staff and website development. This person will act as an ambassador of the organization.
    First aid, CPR and mandatory training will be provided at the organizations expense. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record mandatory. Knowledge of Stratford and area considered an asset.

  • Board Director, Stratford Summer Music

    Stratford Summer Music is a project of the Stratford Arts Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization.  Charitable Registration #RR001-87819-7417.

    The Board of Directors of Stratford Summer Music is currently inviting submissions from qualified individuals interested in serving as a Volunteer Member of the Board of Directors. We will have openings for four individuals who have expertise in one or more of the following areas:  Finance, Accounting, Legal, Fund Development and the Corporate Sector.

    The three year term of office, which is renewable, will commence as of the Annual General Meeting in March.

    Directors are expected to attend monthly Board meetings (10 per year) either in person in our Stratford office or by teleconference, and participate on one Board subcommittee (Fund Development, Marketing and Audience Development).  This is a volunteer position.

    The Mission for Stratford Summer Music is to stage an annual festival of diverse musical and educational experiences for both regional and wider audiences, to celebrate music in its many manifestations and to enhance the reputation of the Stratford region as a home for all the arts.
