The Imbayakunas

The Imbayakunas' music allows the listener to escape on an exotic voyage to a South American aboriginal community. Their musical intention is to share the rich sounds of the Andean regions. In Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia traditional music is the privileged expression of 20 million Quechua and 4 million Aymaras. They play traditional Andean Native music with an infusion of Latin and European sounds with the traditional instruments of pan flutes, rondador, charango, drum, ronrroco and cajas.

Bring your lawn chairs, your sandwiches, your pets and your partners.  It’s BargeMusic 2019, always voted high among Stratford Summer Music’s cheeriest musical moments.  Plenty of variety…a new troupe every week… on The Stratford Belle, moored along the Avon riverbank since 2002.
