The Trinity Choir, founded and directed by Canada’s foremost countertenor, Daniel Taylor, since 2015, records magnificent yet neglected choral repertoire from the 15th century to the present. An ensemble of soloists auditioned from Canada and all over the world, The Trinity Choir is recognised for its passionate and committed performances that include a cappella programs, major works from the oratorio tradition, and reconstructions of music from historic events. Several of these choristers are alumni/alumnae of Stratford Summer Music.
Never before has the choir come together in Canada in the summer to prepare for a forthcoming recording session in Britain. It is thus a particular honour to present them exclusively at Stratford Summer Music where Daniel Taylor’s own appearances and his leading other choral programs have always been season highlights.
The Trinity Choir records exclusively for SONY where its seasonal cd releases in the last three years - Four Thousand Winter, The Path to Paradise, and The Tree of Life - have all been international best-sellers, topping classical charts worldwide.
